How do I purchase tickets?

Tickets are available for purchase online or call 1-800-656-0713, whichever is most convenient, by credit or debit card.

What if the tour I want to go on is sold out? Is there a waiting list?

If a tour is sold out, there may still be a chance that you can join if someone else reschedules. Please contact us at info@mangiadc.com and let us know the date, time and name of the tour you are interested in. Also, check the booking page often for spots that might open up at the last minute.

Where do the tours start and end? Will we be meeting near public parking and public transit?

Each tour meets at a different location. Information about where and when to meet your tour group will be available on your purchased ticket and also emailed to you well in advance of the tour date. If you do not receive an email or have questions about the meeting time or location, please contact us at info@mangiadc.com. We will start and end the tour near public parking and a bus or metro stop. The last stop on the tour will be within a few blocks of where we start and the tour guide can help you find your way to the closest metro station or wherever you’re headed.

Are the tour routes wheel chair accessible?

Our tours go on some uneven ground. If you or another guest in your party requires wheelchair access, please contact us well in advance of your tour date so we can do our best to ensure an accessible route.

Can I bring children on the tour?

While children are welcome, we caution that tours can last up to 3 hours and cover more than 2 miles. With that said, if he or she is up for it, then so are we! If your child is under 10 years old and will share the tastings with an adult, he or she can join the tour at no cost—just let us know when you purchase your tickets or send us a quick email before the tour date.

How long are the tours?

Each tour is designed to last between 2.5 and 3 hours.

How many stops are on the tour and what will be served?

We will stop at 3-4 local eateries. At each, we’ll sit and sample at least one dish. Some locations will also provide a specialty beverage. This should be enough food for lunch, so please plan accordingly. Locations may change without notice.

If I have dietary restrictions or a food allergy, can I still participate?

Absolutely! In most cases, we can accommodate you by working with the restaurants to tailor your tastings as long as you inform us far enough in advance. Unfortunately, if we don’t have advance notice, it may not be possible to make accommodations.

How much walking is involved?

Throughout the course of the tour, we’ll cover about 2 miles at a comfortable pace. We’ll break it up with stops at restaurants every 20 minutes or so, where we’ll get a chance to sit down and relax a bit before forging—and foraging—onward.

Can I take photos on the tour?

Please do! Capture the memories!

Will restrooms be available during the tour?

Have no fear! You are welcome to use the facilities at any or all of the restaurants featured on the tour.

Do the tour guides accept tips?

Tipping is always welcome and greatly appreciated, although it isn’t mandatory.

Are gift certificates available for purchase?

If you’re interested in giving the gift of a Mangia DC food tour, you can purchase a gift certificate here or learn more by calling 1-800-656-0713.

You’ll have the option of adding a personal message and emailing or printing the certificate.

Can I book a private tour?
