Mangia (pronounced: mahn-ja) means “eat” in Italian. Since 2013, we here at Mangia DC have been committed to helping out-of-town visitors and our fellow Washingtonians experience the taste of our nation’s capital through culinary experiences where our guests learn, enjoy, and —of course— eat!
In-person we do that by hosting tasting events, cooking classes, and food tours in Washington DC’s iconic neighborhoods. As we navigate the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are safely reopening for private in-person events in accordance with CDC best practices and local mandates, in addition to continuing the fun virtual offerings we’ve cooked up over the past two years.
We can accommodate up to 300 participants.
While we love working with everyone in person, we’ve developed our online classes to be engaging and fun for participants. Our live-stream Lend a Hand for Good experience is recreational, educational, and a great team-builder!
Lend a Hand for Good typically lasts anywhere from 60-90 minutes, but it varies based on each group’s customizations.

Discover Italian history on a trek through Dupont Circle, soak in the culture, and pay tribute to local history by dining at Italian eateries. On the Italian Tour, we’ll taste Italian cuisine and learn about Italian culture in Washington, DC. The tour is approximately 3 – 3.5 hours, including 2 hours of neighborhood walking and stops at a restaurant about every 20 minutes.
