FIESTA DC – is a two-day event celebration that transforms Washington, D.C. into a vibrant global fiesta honoring the richness of Latino cultures. From September 27 – 28, 2025, Pennsylvania Avenue (Between 7th St & 3rd St. NW) will come alive with the infectious rhythms of live music and dance performances, the flavors of authentic Latin American cuisine, and a lively marketplace filled with handcrafted artisan creations. AFI Latin American Film Festival – 9/19/25 – 10/10/25 at the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center. Explore Latin American movies with a pass to this multi-week film fest. AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center is screening award-winning and new movies like restaurant-kitchen drama La Cocina and Spanish rock film The Blue Star; hosting filmmaker talks; and throwing embassy parties ($15 for general admission, $200 for festival pass). DC Public Library Events – Different libraries around DC will be having various Hispanic Heritage Month events for the next month! Some of these events include distribution of craft kits that celebrate numerous countries that participate in Hispanic Heritage Month. This kit includes a Papel Picado craft, Ojo de Dios Craft, Crossword Puzzle, coloring pages, and more. Additionally, there will be scavenger hunts to find clues and learn about famous Hispanic Americans, crafts, and bilingual reading events.
