I had the best time on my Georgetown food tour, would highly recommend it! Each stop had its own unique character and at the same time we were able to learn about the history and see the neighborhood. Dave was a great tour guide, really knew his facts and about all the best places to eat.pinkgirlny

I’ve traveled a lot and been on many food tours, and I just LOVE them. I was sure that when I came to D.C. to visit friends I’d go on a food tour, but had a hard time picking between the different options and tour companies. I ended up going with MangiaDC because they had more of a boutique feel and I liked the “off the beaten path” concept of the Georgetown food tour. We learned a lot about the history of Georgetown, famous residents (as we passed their homes), laughed a lot as our tour guide Dave really made sure to keep things entertaining and ultimately visited 4 super interesting eateries in Georgetown that had very special stories and delicious food. It was also nice getting to interact with owners, watching food be prepared, and enjoying tasting food while learning about what we were eating. I went with a group of friends and just really had a blast and left pleasantly full and feeling pretty inspired. Next time I visit D.C. I will be trying another tour by Mangia DC for sure.foodiesarahNYC

Went on this tour today with the alum club from my college. It was a great way to get to know the Georgetown area and of course eat some delicious food. The tour guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly, he even brought enough water bottles for everyone on the tour. They had a great system where someone from Mangia would go to the restaurants before the tour got there and would get everything set up for us. We even got coupons for each place we visited. Overall a really great experience!charlotte t.

A Must Do while in DC! This was such a perfect walking food tour. Each stop provided an amazing dish that represented the restaurants’ specialty, and the food was outstanding! The guides are so knowledgeable about the DC area, it was quite evident that each stop has been carefully chosen. We look forward to going back to participate again with family and friends, can’t wait! Thank you for creating such a wonderful and memorable experience for us.Lori Ann

Came down to Georgetown for a girls weekend and this was the start of a wonderful time. It was raining off and on, but David our guide showed up with water bottles and ponchos for anyone!! Great perk! He was knowledgeable and funny. Our food was delicious and the places were off the main drag~~which was awesome!! Thanks for a great time!hannafamreviews

This was my first food tour and it was excellent! I went with my college alumni group around Georgetown and it was a memorable experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the History of Georgetown and the food establishments we stopped at. The tour guide had a backpack full of water bottles which was perfect since it was hot out and we needed to stay hydrated. Before we started, each person was provided with a small pamphlet that had a map, list of restaurants we would be stopping at, coupons, and ways to follow them on social media. The food tour makes sure everyone is accommodated, since many people have dietary restrictions. Overall, we stopped at 4 food establishments. I don’t want to give too much away, so you will just have to check it out yourself. I will definitely have to try the DuPont Circle Italian food tour sometime.chad H.

Mangia’s Georgetown food tour was awesome! I’ve been here for years and never knew of any of the spots we visited. Each stop on the tour offered something delicious, and learning more about the historic spots in Georgetown along the way kept everyone in our party engaged.artieblissert

So, I went with a friend on a Sunday to this tour. As I was living 1 year in DC I already know some great places around but none of the tour’s. To my surprise, trying Stachowki’s pastrami sandwich (best sandwich I have had in many years), Via Umbria amazing porchetta sandwich and a great collection of Italian cheeses, trying some great olive oils from all over the World (including from my home country, Spain), and finishing having really tasty cookies in such a great social company as Dog Tag Bakery. So, the places we visited are spectacular, and Dave, our guide is really funny and pays tons of attention to you to be always really happy and comfortable. So, even I was living in the city, I discovered such incredible places that I have to return to, and learnt also about Georgetown history in a great Sunday afternoon. To conclude, absolutely recommendable for you guys!!!carlos b

“I got to experience a side of Georgetown I didn’t know existed. I got to experience a personal connection to the 5 places we walked to. A butcher shop, olive oil and balsamic tasting, Italian, dog tag bakery for vets, all of which were run by independent owners. I like going to places where the owners are there and passionate about what they had to offer. The owners were amazing and made my experience awesome! My guide was great, fun, knowledgeable, and super! I didn’t feel rushed or pressured. I’m definitely going back to the places the tour took me to. It’s a great trip for locals and nova people like myself to find a place where you feel like a valued customer, where the things you’re buying help local business, and have fun doing it!
I’ll definitely be going back on a tour with this tour group around the other parts of d.c and taking a stop at dog tag bakery and the butcher shop which had an amazing Polish sandwich. My advise, bring foodies with you and enjoy.
Thanks for the fun! I look forward to going to dupont circle next with mangia dc food tours!”phillip b.
